A huge well done to Chloe Ni Ceallaigh who had an outstanding game in goals for Dublin U16B camogie against Armagh last weekend. Chloe is now in an All Ireland semi final on Aug 9th against Derry. We wish her all the best. Well done to Roisin MacLoughlin our representative on the U16A panel, although the As did not reach the semi finals she put in excellent displays in all 4 group matches (Cork, Kilkenny, Clare and Galway) in the half back and full back line with only one of her markers in all four matches scoring a single point.

O'TOOLE'S

THERE were close games resulting in great wins for both our adult and junior football teams last week in their respective leagues. The seniors were at home to Rosmini in a mid county game that was competitive but our lads overcame the opposition and won well. While our juniors were away to James Gaels where they worked hard and played in unison to triumph by a single well earned and well deserved point. Our ladies lost their league match to a very strong Castleknock side last Wednesday. After a slow start O'Toole's trailed by 8pts but to their credit, the girls showed tremendous heart and team spirit to fight back to lead with 15mins remaining. However Castleknocks greater physical strength told in the last quarter. But onwards and up for our heroic girls whose next game is the semi final of the junior B Championship against locals Naomh Barrog on the 20th August. Our American BBQ last Friday night was a huge success, due to the hardworking committee spearheaded by Kieran and the clement dry weather. The craic was ninety, the food delicious and the music first class. For your entertainment in the lounge this Saturday night it's 'Uploaded'. We also have Texas Holdum poker every Monday & Wednesday nights and big screens to view all the major sporting fixtures. Every Thursday is 'Live Lotto' night. There was no winner last week. The numbers drawn were 5-11-15-21. This week the jackpot will be €3,200.

ROUND TOWER LUSK

NO winner of club lotto with numbers 2, 3, 4 & 28 drawn. €50 went to E. R Colgan and €25 went to Pip and A & S Flood. Jackpot stands at €4,750. Snr Ladies Jr G Ch Round Towers (7-6) vs. St Brendan's (2-10). The Snr Ladies team gained an important victory in their Championship match with St Brendan's during the week. In an entertaining game where Tower's goal scoring ability proved to be the difference between the sides, 7 goals in all shared by Claire Kirwan, Tara Doyle, Sarah Sweetman and 'new' star forward Sarah Kelly were a great reward for some really good attacking football. The backline and Anna in goals really pulled out all the stops to halt a late rally by Brendan's as Towers started to tire. This was easily our best team performance of the season so far with great contributions from all areas of the pitch. Our first team lined out for the first ever Fingal 7's tournament. Lusk were up against it from the start, being drawn in a very tough group all of which were senior teams including St Pats of Donabate, Fingal Ravens, Erins Isle and Trinity Gaels. They put a very spirited performance in a rain drenched morning and can count themselves very unlucky not to come away with a win against Trinity Gaels who beat them by a goal in the last kick of the game. They also came very close to upsetting a fairly fancied Ravens team by pushing them to the last kick of the game only to be denied by the post. Best for Towers was Adam Caul, Josh Connell and Ciaran Murphy. In particular Adams relentless running and accuracy in front of goal proved vital in a very fast and entertaining 7's tournament. Congratulations to St Pats who beat Ravens in a very close final. A huge thanks to Fingal Ravens for putting together a very well run tournament and we look forward to playing again next year.

SCOIL UI CHONAILL

A GREAT result in the junior football fixture last Tuesday evening away to Ná Gaeile Óga. That makes it back to back wins in the league before the summer break. The first of two August Club camps (4 Days) scheduled for 5-8th and 19th-22nd August in Clontarf began today.
