2014 was another very memorable year for me

Looking ahead to next week and it's a bit early to say what or where I'll be riding but obviously it would be fantastic to finish out the year with a Christmas winner somewhere, but whatever happens, you won't find me complaining after another year that will live long in the memory.

I have been very lucky as an amateur to have gotten a lot of great opportunities in big races and this year to win on Thousand Stars again in France and then go on and win a Kerry National for James Nash at Listowel on Your Busy were two fantastic days.

To be honest, I never thought I'd ride another winner on Thousand Stars, in fact I never thought I'd even get to ride him again but then to get the opportunity in France in the Prix La Barka and for him to go and win was a dream and he has certainly been a horse of a lifetime for me.

In Listowel, Your Busy was first reserve for the race but he got a run and everything fell in to place from there. He was a horse I had rode a few times in the likes of the Paddy Power and the Kim Muir and I've known James a long time and he has always supported me so it was great to repay him and enjoy what was the biggest winner of his career.

There's still plenty of action and races to be settled next week though so hopefully I'll be able to get a share the spoils somewhere.
