Sixth sense guides Larkin

SOCCER: CDVEC BOHEMIAN SHIELD

LARKIN COMMUNITY COLL 6 ; COLáISTE DHúLAIGH 1

LARKIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE'S command on the Bohemian Shield continues to flourish with yet another sublime display from the north inner city college securing the Bohemian Shield in last Thursday's final at AUL Complex, Dublin.

Jordan Lee O'Connor scored a brace with further goals coming from Sean Gallagher, Jack Kenna, Dean Byrne and Hayden Byrne, as Larkin proved too strong for their opponents with Dhúlaigh having to settle for second best for the second year running.

Gallagher, Larkin's captain, opened the score early in the game. Dhúlaigh responded well and equalised through Andrew McCabe. However, their lead was short-lived with O'Connor and Kenna giving them a commanding 3-1 half time lead.

Larkin kept up the pressure after the restart, with O'Connor scoring his second to put the game beyond any doubt.

Dean Byrne then scored the best goal of the day with a sublime chip over the Dhúlaigh keeper before Burke's effort rounded off a perfect day for the reigning champions.
