Setback for Pilkington
Cardiff
ANTHONY Pilkington remains a concern for Martin O'Neill ahead of next month's Euro 2016 battle with Poland in Dublin.
The Cardiff City man has been an unused sub for Ireland's European Championship qualifiers in the campaign to date, though he did catch the eye with an impressive display in the 4-1 defeat of the USA in November. And with Aiden McGeady still on the sidelines at Everton due to injury, O'Neill is keen to explore his options before the Poland visit. But Pilkington has also been out due to injury and while Cardiff had hoped to include him in their squad for tonight's Championship meeting with Wigan, he suffered a setback in training yesterday and is unable to make the squad.
