Setanta in phone talks

Irish TV broadcaster Setanta Sports has said that it is in "commercial discussions" about the launch of a mobile phone service in Ireland.
If it proceeds, the company would become the third outfit in recent weeks to announce new mobile services by 'piggybacking' on an existing operator's network. Other reports claim that Setanta has been in talks with 3 Ireland about a potential new service.
UPC and Carphone Warehouse have already revealed that they will proceed with a new mobile operator service in Ireland by next year, using 3 Ireland's network.
Last month, the telecoms regulator revealed that mobile phone bills have fallen to record lows.
