Media Awards 2012

Over 600 people gathered in Dublin's Burlington Hotel for the Media Awards 2012. Now a firm fixture on the advertising calendar, the Awards celebrate the very best work, businesses and brands in the media business.



A collaborative venture between Irish Marketing Journal (IMJ) and The Brainfood Store, The Media Awards is the largest gathering of media owners and media agencies in Ireland.

Independent Newspapers was a platinum sponsor of this years’ Media Awards.

The Media Awards 2012 received over 190 entries from all of Ireland's leading media agencies and media owners.







The 2012 judging panel was made up of some of the top people in the Irish and international media and advertising industries with Jonathan Allen, sales director of Channel 4 acting as chairman. .

It was a big night for agencies like MediaVest, Mediaworks, Carat and Mindshare and all of whom picked up gold awards. MediaVest won three golds, as did Carat, while Mediaworks picked up two gold awards. Other agencies that won gold included PHD and Vizeum. The Rising Star Award went to Martin Pugh of Mediacom. The Agency of the Year Award, meanwhile, went to Carat.
