Ryanair calm on IAG

Ryanair "wouldn't have any concerns" if Aer Lingus is taken over by British Airways' owner IAG and would subsequently have an opportunity to grow its traffic out of Ireland, according to Ryanair's chief marketing officer.

Kenny Jacobs said Ryanair remains open to selling its 29.8pc stake in Aer Lingus.

Mr Jacobs also predicted that IAG won't want to take on Ryanair in Ireland using Aer Lingus, especially on pricing.

"We're taking on Aer Lingus on short haul in Europe and clearly winning," Mr Jacobs claimed yesterday.
