FORMER Miss World Rosanna Davison was keeping a low profile in New York today as her sizzling topless shoot with Playboy went viral.

THE photographs have caused a massive stir in Germany, with the front page of the publication describing her as "Chris de Burgh’s daughter".

Rosanna (28) said today that she is “really happy with them”.

“It’s the next step in my career as a model and it was an amazing opportunity for someone in my position.

“I wasn’t totally nude. It was implied nudity, so it was all very tastefully done.”

The Herald columnist is due to appear on The Late Late Show on Friday night to explain her reasons for doing the shoot.

Playboy Germany had stipulated that the photos shouldn’t be put online until 2pm Irish time and not published until tomorrow – but the photos were leaked on to Twitter this morning.

Speaking exclusively to this newspaper as she relaxed with parents Chris and Diana, Rosanna said she was “really nervous and excited” about the pictures appearing in the publication.

“I’ve seen the pictures and I was really happy with them,” she said. “I shot it in Mauritius, so the style is more of a summer shoot.” Keeping in shape over there wasn’t hard: “I just did loads of swimming, bit of running on the beach and some Pilates with my mum. But it's a really healthy lifestyle with loads of fresh foods, so I was definitely feeling the health benefits of it.”

She shot the photographs last January during a family holiday as she combined business with pleasure.

Last year saw Rosanna signing the lucrative deal with Playboy Europe, becoming one of the first Irish models to strip off for the mag for a five-figure sum.

She landed the deal after signing up with a major European agency called Celebrity Network, which also represents burlesque star Dita Von Teese.

The forthcoming edition featuring Rosanna is for the German, Austrian and Swiss markets, but Irish stores were also be able to pre-order copies.

Rosanna has been getting a massive reaction to the pictures, which hit the internet this morning as her fans got the first look at her topless pics.

Her pal Brendan Montague said he was “proud” that the Playboy cover has been released, while Virginia Macari described the pics as “stunning”.
