Roo sends Rory invite -- on a Man U shirt
Wayne Rooney has sent fellow sports prodigy Rory McIlroy a personally signed Man United jersey.
And the gift came with a an invite to Old Trafford for the 22-year-old golf ace.
Taking to his social networking site yesterday, delighted Holywood native Rory shared a picture of dad-of-one Wayne's gift.
Along with his autograph, the football ace invited the county Down local to pay a visit to Man Utd's home ground soon. The message read: "To Rory, Best of luck this year. Would love to see you at Old Trafford. Best Wishes, Wayne Rooney."
And Rory was quick to thank Roo, posting on his Twitter: "Thanks [Wayne] for the signed shirt! Hopefully see you at old Trafford soon."
The sporting star jetted out of the US following the Masters on Sunday to catch up with tennis pro girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki in Copenhagen, ahead of her E-Boks Open in the Danish capital.
Making sure to keep up their fitness for their respective fields, the loved-up pair enjoyed an afternoon at the gym yesterday.
The smitten duo, who have been dating since last July, were then snapped hitting trendy nightclub Zen in the city last night.
Caroline swapped her tennis kit for a cropped black leather jacket and leopard print scarf, while beau Rory dressed down in a white open-collar shirt and jeans.
Although he was one of the hot favourites to win the US Masters trophy in Augusta, Rory had a tough time on the course last weekend and victory went to Bubba Watson.
