IRELAND international Wes Hoolahan was at the centre of a “diving” controversy after an opposing player claimed that the midfielder admitted to taking a dive.
Hoolahan didn’t score for Norwich in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Watford but he played a key role as a penalty, for a foul on the Dubliner, put the Canaries in front, though Hornets man Troy Deeney claims that Hoolahan dived.
“It’s a dive,” said Deeney. “Wes told us he dived, during the game and after. And that is frustrating. These things keep going against us. Look at his reaction. Is he rolling around in pain or did he get straight back up? I have to be careful with what I say but how many times has this happened now.”
