Quinn green lights sites for 40 schools

EDUCATION Minister Ruairi Quinn has signed an agreement for the acquisition of sites for up to 40 new schools across the country.

He says that the Memorandum of Understanding with the County and City Managers' Association will see the establishment of 40 new schools.

"By 2017, we will have an extra 70,000 children and young people in the education system.

"It is a priority of this Government that we ensure every child has a physical place at school," he said.
