Posh's tears of joy at top fashion gong

AN EMOTIONAL Victoria Beckham broke down in tears as she picked up a top gong at British fashion's most prestigious awards ceremony.

The former Spice Girl (37), beat off stiff competition from rival high-end clothing firms Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Burberry to take the Best Designer Brand prize at the star-studded British Fashion Awards.

And during her acceptance speech at London's Savoy Hotel last night, the mother-of-four found it hard to control her emotions.

Decked out in a black halter-neck gown, Beckham burst into tears before telling the audience: "Sorry, I'm being so rubbish."
