COLáISTE Phádraig CBS got their Leinster Junior Cup campaign off to the perfect start with a 2-0 win against Riversdale CC.

The Lucan school, who have the distinction of seeing two seperate teams claim Leinster First Year Cups back-to-back for the school in 2012 and 2013, are now targeting Under-17 glory.

The bulk of the squad from the original First Year success, which also yielded an All-Ireland title, are involved in this team.

Patrick Klos and Conor Kane were on target in the win against Dublin rivals Riversdale and St Vincent's, Glasnevin, are now next.

St Mark's CS, Tallaght, have made a big early mark on this competition, following up their heavy preliminary-round win with a 3-2 victory over Clonkeen College last week.

Hat-trick hero Jonathan Afolabi stole the show and will be one to watch.

St Michael's College were eased aside by Drimnagh Castle a fortnight ago and the Dublin side followed that up with another emphatic victory against Firhouse.
