CONNACHT champions Rice College will stand between Leinster kingpins Coláiste Phádraig, CBS Lucan and All-Ireland glory when the sides meet in the FAI Schools First Year Boys Cup final.

Athlone Town FC Stadium will host the showpiece of the school year on Wednesday, and the West Dublin school are looking to sign off with aplomb.

Rice College saw off Limerick Crescent Comprehensive 3-1 in last week's All-Ireland semi-final, just days after Phádraig cruised to a 4-1 win over Ulster's St Columba's College.

Goals from Dylan Hayes, Tom Prior, Timmy Babbington and a Ryan Gallon own goal saw the Lucan school into the final.

Ray Cullen's side will fancy their chances in the big game and the school have a good pedigree in recent years.

This year's First Year Leinster title followed provincial success at junior and minor level in recent campaigns.

And this year's youngest age group appear to particularly talented and will be hoping to complete a memorable season in style next week.
