Wrong time to sell ESB

THE Government proposal to sell off part of the ESB to meet EU and IMF financial demands is akin to selling off the family silver.

Doing so in the depths of an economic downturn will simply make a bad situation worse. We are already in hock so badly that more than one future generation will have to pay. The idea of selling State assets at this particular time is flawed and shows a distinct lack of forward thinking.
