Give the fairer sex a chance, Today...

The hunt is on for someone to replace Ray Foley (below) on Today FM, as he prepares to move to 98FM, and one of the names in the mix is Louise Duffy, who presents a show at 5am on that station, and also happens to be Paul Galvin's girlfriend.

A spokesperson for Today FM said: "Anyone is a contender, and we aren't specifically looking for a male presenter." Well, in the interests of gender balance, perhaps the station might like to consider the following. From 7am to midnight, their presenters are Ian Dempsey, Ray D'Arcy, Ray Foley, Tony Fenton, Matt Cooper, a bloke called KC, and Paul McLoone. Is it just me, or does anyone see a common thread here?

Perhaps instead of not specifically looking for a male presenter, they might specifically look for a female one. The very talented Louise, for example...
