I'm amused at TV3 getting rapped by the Broadcasting Authority for its late night game show, Play TV.
It upheld 10 complaints from people who clearly hadn't worked out that ringing a premium rate phone line repeatedly was going to, er, cost them money and if they didn't get through they'd still have to pay -- even though it tells them so repeatedly.
The station said in its defence that it had given out €400,000 in prizes since last May -- how did viewers think that was paid for?
Well it wasn't the magic telly fairy. If you're daft enough to keep phoning up, you deserve to be fleeced.
Get. A. Life.
