Lift for Dublin as Kelly returns

ANTHONY DALY has recalled several fit-again aces and handed Ross O'Carroll his first league start since the dual player's return to inter-county hurling as Dublin seek to preserve their Allianz League top-flight status against Galway on Sunday.

In a welcome change from the injury-afflicted norm, the Sky Blue boss has been able to recall full-back Peter Kelly (left) and forwards Paul Ryan and Conor McCormack for the relegation play-off in Tullamore (2.30).

Kelly hasn't featured since suffering the recurrence of a knee injury in Dublin's league opener, ironically against Galway back in February.

Prolific free-taker Ryan and fellow Ballyboden clubman McCormack both picked up injuries during Dublin's high-scoring defeat to Kilkenny last month. It was initially feared that the hamstrung Ryan would miss the rest of their league campaign, but he's been deemed fit to start on Sunday.
