GAA to probe Daly fan incident

GAA chiefs are likely to investigate the post-match flashpoint that saw Dublin hurling boss Anthony Daly physically confronted by a spectator at the end of yesterday's pulsating Allianz League game against Kilkenny.

The supporter, believed to be a Kilkenny man, was subsequently ejected from the Nowlan Park pitch by stewards.

After the game, which ended in painful 5-16 to 6-12 defeat after two late Kilkenny goals, Daly confirmed that an incident had happened.

The indications are that no official complaint will be lodged with Gardai.

Robbie on the double

ROBBIE KEANE says he never doubted that he'd find his scoring touch again as he ended his goal drought by scoring twice for LA Galaxy last night.

Keane was on the double in the 3-1 win over DC United.

"I'm very happy," said the Ireland captain. I don't mind missing chances, I mind when I'm not in a position to score them.

"I try not to let it play in your mind too much, but as you know football sometimes it can take you over."
