Camp's end is welcome

The clearing of the Dame Street Occupy protest camp this morning is good news for citizens in general and especially for the local businesses who have had the makeshift compound sitting on their doorsteps since last October.

The removal of the anti-capitalist protesters, who refused to disband voluntarily, also means that our magnificent St Patrick's Day parade can now go ahead without spectators and participants having to pass this unsightly mess.
