The manner in which the Government slid through the measure allowing ministers' cars to use bus lanes is quite breathtaking.
It has all the appearance of something being snuck through when no one was looking -- passed as it was without discussion or fanfare.
The decision itself is also completely wrong. Ministers should not be allowed escape the normal frustrations of working people.
If we want to make exceptions, why not let young parents, trapped in overpriced homes miles from work, use bus lanes? At least they would have a few minutes more to spend with their children.
