Old romantic Jack whisks fiancee off to city of love to toast birthday

SHE'S going to marry a movie star and lucky Limerick model Madeline Mulqueen seems to be getting used to a life of luxury.

As the fiancee of Irish actor and rising Hollywood star Jack Reynor, brunette beauty Madeline has been jet-setting around the world accompanying her other half as he attends a string of international premieres for his new film, Transformers: The Age of Extinction.

And while she's been happily at his side on the red carpet in recent weeks on the promotional trail, silver screen hunk Jack took time out of his busy schedule to treat Madeline to a birthday to remember over the weekend.

The catwalk queen, who came to prominence in The Rubberbandits' Horse Outside music video, was flown to Paris for "an impromptu" romantic getaway to mark her turning 24.

The loved-up couple (right), who got engaged in March but have yet to plan their wedding, were in the French capital having a couple of drinks to mark the occasion on Saturday and fitness fanatic Madeline even indulged in a slice or two of chocolate cake.

For Jack, it has been the first time in months that he could properly kick back and relax.

Due to his commitments with Michael Bay's Transformers flick, he has touched down in Hong Kong, New York, Miami, London, Berlin and Sydney since May - and he was in Rio de Janeiro last week.

No doubt he was looking forward to unwinding with his future wife.

Jack's career has taken off in recent years since his award-winning portrayal in Lenny Abrahamson's What Richard Did and he's now one of the most sought-after actors to emerge from Ireland.

He is set to shoot Girls Night Out with Juno Temple, and recently finished filming a movie adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, with Michael Fassbender. He's next scheduled to be back on home soil, after lining up a part in The Secret Scripture.

Wicklow native Jack will take on a lead role in the big budget project, alongside American actress Rooney Mara.

Filming will kick off in late September in Dublin. Jack's not the only famous face expected on set. Jeremy Irons and Vanessa Redgrave help complete the cast.
