O'Connor hits 1,000 mark
Record breaking jockey Derek O'Connor partnered his 1,000th winner in Irish point-to-points yesterday.
O'Connor, who similarly to what AP McCoy has done for National Hunt racing, has changed the face of racing 'between the flags' and became the first rider to reach the incredible milestone at Cragmore in Limerick when winning on the Gigginstown owned Death Duty in the first race.
O'Connor completed a treble on the card.
