NTR losses at €381m

Waste and energy group NTR reported a record loss of €381m last year, making it one of the largest full-year losses in Irish corporate history outside the banking sector.

The investment group originally established its name in the running of the West-Link Toll Bridge on the M50. The losses last year included charges of €195.7m relating largely to a failed solar investment in the US and its waste management operation in Ireland.
