No scholarship for Beckham's son Brooklyn after Arsenal academy run

Arsenal are not expected to offer Brooklyn Beckham a scholarship.

The 15-year-old, son of former England captain David Beckham, has been playing within the club's Hale End academy set-up, and had his sights set on a two-year scholarship with the Gunners.

However, it is understood Arsenal will not be offering terms to Beckham, who plays right midfield and had been called up to the under-18s squad earlier this month.

Beckham is set to remain at Arsenal for the remainder of the campaign, and could well look to continue his career at another club.

Younger brothers Romeo, 12, and Cruz, 10, are also enrolled at Hale End.

Brooklyn's father David, despite being born in London, elected to join the Manchester United academy at the age of 16 before progressing to the United first team and on to Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, before retiring from the game in 2013.
