Good to see we'll have to talent Nicki Minaj performing on these shores this summer.

The award-winning star, whose debut album Pink Friday was multi-platinum selling last year, has confirmed she will appear at the Olympia Theatre on July 4. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 9am.

Her much anticipated album Young Money/Cash Money will be released later this month featuring her brand new single Starships.

Meanwhile, former Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes has just announced he'll be bringing his tour here next September. He'll be returning to Ireland with a gig at Vicar Street on September 27 as part of his new The Secret's Out tour.

The concert will be directed by his long-term collaborator Willie Williams of U2 fame.

wwwThe countdown is on ahead of the annual Leinster Rugby Awards Ball, which takes place at the Mansion House in Dublin on April 21.

The black-tie event will see the top players, their partners and, of course, their loyal supporters coming together to celebrate the best in provincial, club and individual player achievements throughout the recent season.

The evening will kick off with a drinks reception followed by a three-course meal and an awards ceremony hosted by Barry Murphy of Apres Match fame. And then the party will be cranked up a notch when 90s-inspired band Smash Hits take to the stage to entertain attendees.

wwwThe style crew will be heading down West next week for the fourth annual Kerry Fashion Week.

The KFW awards are scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 12, and will see finalists from all over Ireland in attendance.

Among those on the guest list are Image magazine editor Melanie Morris, while local model and Miss Universe Ireland beauty Aoife Hannon will take centre stage on the catwalk, joined by fellow model Aoife Healy, who's the face for the event.

The week's events also feature a fashion seminar, where speakers will include designer Natalie B Coleman, a favourite of pop princess Lily Allen.
