Youth to write letter of apology

A DUBLIN youth, who showed no remorse for a vicious attack on a 13-year-old boy, must write a sincere letter of apology or else face a custodial sentence, a judge has ordered.

Dublin Children's Court heard the younger boy had been in his front garden when he was set on during the incident in north Dublin on a date in July last year. He suffered a cut lip and bruising around both his eyes.

Judge John O'Connor said yesterday the incident was appalling.
