Woman had knife at Luas stop, court told

A WOMAN was allegedly found with a flick-knife after she was stopped by security at a Luas stop, a court heard.

Suzanne McGowan (41) was on her way to St James' Hospital at the time.

The accused, of Knockmore Crescent in Tallaght, is charged before Dublin District Court with possession of a flick knife

A court sergeant said it will be claimed that gardai received a call in relation to a woman acting suspiciously at the St James' Hospital Luas stop on July 25 last.

It is alleged that Ms McGowan was stopped by Luas security staff and found with a flick knife in her bag.

The incident was allegedly captured on CCTV.

Judge Denis McLoughlin accepted jurisdiction and adjourned the matter to September for a plea or date.
