Woman groped at bus stop

A DUBLIN youth who repeatedly groped a woman at a bus stop will be sentenced next month.

The 21-year-old has pleaded guilty at Dublin Children's Court to sexually assaulting the 25-year-old woman in north Dublin in May 2008. He was 16 at the time. He also admitted smashing a window at her house.

The youth had approached the woman and asked her for a cigarette, but she said she did not have any. He then "slapped her bottom" and then tried to punch her. He then "put his hand up her skirt and grabbed her bottom again" and groped her breast.

She ran home, where her attacker threw stones at the house and smashed a window, causing €600 worth of damage.

Father killed two children

More than six years after two children aged 10 and 11 burned to death in an SUV in Los Angeles, their father has pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder.

The children's mother, Sun Ok Ma, testified that Dae Kwon Yun (61), who was sentenced to life, beat her and threatened to kill her and burn down their home, leading to their separation.

Two weeks later, Yun picked up the children. He drove to an industrial area and put petrol-soaked rags around the vehicle. His daughter got out, but he pulled her back before igniting the rags.

Drugs guarded by alligators

Detectives who responded to reports of a shooting at a home in Washington state found a floor-to-ceiling stripper pole, 15 marijuana plants and two five-foot alligators guarding them.

The alligators were kept in a room with the marijuana plants and hissed at detectives who opened the door, said Thurston County Sheriff's spokesman Lieutenant Greg Elwin.
