The Wire star Idris Elba is unable to perform a DJ set at this weekend's Forbidden Fruit festival.
Elba, who regularly DJs in Ibiza, was slated to play later this evening, the first night of the popular three-day music festival at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
He had been added to the line-up in February, along with Fatboy Slim, Hot Since 82, Maya Jane Coles and Adam Beyer.
However, the actor was forced to pull out and his name was removed from the most recent posters and press material for the festival. A spokesperson from Forbidden Fruit confirmed that Elba had "filming commitments" which clashed with this weekend.
"We made an announcement across social media channels and he has been removed from Ticketmaster listings and all site listings. We are really looking forward to an amazing weekend ahead, with some cutting edge music and comedy," said the spokesperson.
Along with Fatboy Slim tonight, Disciples, Kowton, Lorenzo Senni, Tei Shi and DJ Deece will also perform.
Wu Tang Clan and Richie Hawton will headline tomorrow and Sunday respectively.
