William Hill quits

BOOKMAKER William Hill is to pull out of Ireland, having agreed to sell its remaining 15 shops to rivals Boylesports, pictured right.

The bookie's 65 members of staff are expected to be taken on by Boylesports.

William Hill's decision to close its Irish shops was to enable it to concentrate on its online and mobile betting business, a spokesman for the company said.
