IRISH whiskey sales are soaring on world markets as Irish Distillers (IDL) are planning a multi-million Euro expansion of their operation.
Jameson sales have now increased by 600pc-plus over the past 20 years -- and have increased by 50pc alone worldwide since 2006.
The firm sold a total of three million cases of Jameson Whiskey last year with strong demand also reported across other brands including Powers and Paddy.
The multi-million-euro expansion will double the existing whiskey production capacity of the Midleton plant.
