CONTROVERSIAL TD Mick Wallace has raised eyebrows once again – this time after he sported an Italian soccer jersey in the Dail with the team's sausage manufacturing sponsors clear for all to see.
The latest outfit donned by the Wexford politician, who traditionally wears a pink shirt in Leinster House, appears to be in direct contravention of Oireachtas procedures which specifically refer to strict dress codes.
Mr Wallace could not be contacted but his decision to wear the jersey, that of Italian Serie A side Torino, sparked online clamour with one Fine Gael politician poking fun at him.
Charlie Flanagan tweeted a picture Wallace yesterday when the Dail was in session.
The former developer cheerfully replied: "Glad you liked it, I knew you had taste Charlie." to which Mr Flanagan responded by informing Mr Wallace he preferred Torino's bitter city rivals Juventus and tweeted a picture of Ireland and Juventus legend Liam Brady.
