We've had baby 12

MEET the Maher dozen. Breakfast time just got a whole lot more complicated for this family after they welcomed yet another addition.

But Dublin dad Paul Maher said that he and his wife Edel were "over the moon" to welcome another girl to their larger-than-life family.

The couple now have 12 children under the age of 15.

Caoimhe Mary Maher was born on September 28 at 11.37am, weighing 9lb 4.5oz.

Paul, a Dublin Airport police officer, said that they feel lucky to have been blessed with another child. Paul said that his elder daughters Aisling and Sadhbh were looking forward to having another sister.

"The girls are over the moon," he said. "Edel is delighted as well."

The Mahers have opted for Irish names for their expanding household.

Eldest brothers Eoin (14), Cian (11), Darragh (10) and Cathal (9) help organise the rest of the family, which includes Conor (7), twins Odhran and Oisin (6), Fionn (5), Aisling (4), Cillian (2) and Sadhbh (1).

Paul and Edel, who live in Carrickmacross in Monaghan, vowed to stop having babies after their 11th child, Sadhbh, was born. But he said that Caoimhe was a happy surprise for everyone in the family.
