Welcome to the world, Katie's loving kiss for her new niece

Katie Taylor got a champion's welcome home after securing her fourth women's world title in China.

The Bray boxer spent last night enjoying her latest success -- but now her attention turns to the Olympic Games and the chance of more gold.

Hundreds of supporters turned out to congratulate the four-time world title winner as she touched down in Dublin airport yesterday, including her newborn niece Madeleine Hope-Taylor.

"I've a new niece I haven't seen and I can't wait to hold her, she's gorgeous," Katie said as she was introduced to little Madeleine.

Although the boxer has just returned home from an intense competition in the Far East, it'll be a short holiday for Katie, who will relax for a week before diving straight back into training to prepare for the London games.

"I've a week off now and I'll spend it with family and friends ... It's a dream come true to qualify, I'm delighted everything went so well."

Katie will go in as number-one seed in the lightweight division at this summer's Olympics, putting her straight through to the quarter-finals.
