DUBLIN footballer Ger Brennan has challenged companies, groups and organisations around the city to take part in a fundraising sports event to help raise €180,000.
Teams of four people each are being invited to take part in the big day which will "test your fitness, teamwork and dexterity as well as being great fun".
The charity WALK is trying to raise the money to refurbish a disused building in Walkinstown and turn it into a multi-functional community resource centre.
WALK supports people with intellectual disabilities and other community-based outreach programmes.
All-Ireland champion Ger said that the Charity Sports Challenge Day in the Iveagh Sports Ground in Crumlin on June 12 would"be one of the greatest charity sports events of 2014".
Each team will be required to raise sponsorship and at least two members must take part in the events.
