Warning on allergens

FOOD contamination in the services industries can have chronic affects on those with food allergies and intolerances, experts have warned.

The Food Safety Professionals Association (FSPA) will host a National Education Conference on food allergens and contaminants at The Chapel in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin, on Friday, November 2.

The half-day conference, which is free to attend, will discuss food allergies and intolerances and the many resulting health problems. Controlling cross-contamination in industry is a key issue and one which the FSPA has been keen to highlight to the food manufacturing, hospitality and catering sectors in Ireland.
