US reality star dies of cancer

Former American Survivor contestant Jennifer Lyon has died aged 37.

Lyon was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, the same year she finished fourth on the CBS reality show.

Following her diagnosis, she became an advocate for breast cancer awareness.

Survivor host Jeff Probst said he reconnected with Lyon several years ago and stayed in touch during her cancer treatment.

Anti-Muslim prejudice in US

Americans are more than twice as likely to express prejudice against Muslims than they are against Christians, Jews or Buddhists, a new survey shows.

Nearly two-thirds of Americans say they have little or no knowledge of Islam, but a majority dislike the faith, the Gallup World Religion Survey said.

Trucker carried drugs cargo

A Californian man was pulled over driving a lorry containing 14 tons of marijuana.

Angel Guillen Raya, of San Bernardino County, California, has pleaded guilty this week to transporting the marijuana with the intent to distribute it.

He will be sentenced in April.
