UPC adds 90,000 in three months

COMMUNICATIONS giant UPC Ireland added 90,000 subscribers in the first quarter to bring its customer numbers to above the one million mark.

The company said that total subscriptions for its broadband, TV and phone services increased by 10pc in the first three months of 2013.

Carol Grennan, who is chief financial officer of UPC Ireland, said that its new Horizon TV App and Horizon TV Online services allows UPC TV and broadband customers to enjoy their favourite TV programmes on PCs, laptops, mobiles and tablets.

UPC is also offering free speed upgrades to the vast majority of its Broadband customer base, ramping everyone up to a minimum speed of 50Mbps.
