U2's Larry in movie spotlight

LARRY MULLEN Jr is used to being at the back of the stage, but last night he was very much front and centre.

The U2 drummer walked the red carpet without Bono as he officially unveiled himself as a film star.

He chose Dublin's IFI cinema for the opening of The Man On The Train.

Although U2's frontman didn't make the event, wife Ali was there, with The Edge and pals Guggi, Gavin Friday and Shane MacGowan.

A remake of Patrice Leconte's award-winning French film of the same name, The Man On The Train co-stars Donald Sutherland.
