TWO men have been sent for trial charged with possession of more than €13,000 worth of drugs in west Dublin.
Alan Wallace (46) of Kilcronin Close, Bawnogue, Clondalkin and Jakob Kedzirski (32) of Verdemont Apartments, Blanchardstown both had books of evidence served on them.
Mr Wallace is charged with possession of more than €13,000 worth of cannabis with intent to sell or supply at Balyowen Road, Lucan.
Mr Kedzirski is charged with possession of cannabis, ecstasy and amphetamine, also worth in excess of €13,000, for sale or supply at Verdemont Apartments.
The offences, under Section 15A of the Misuse of Drugs Act are alleged to have happened on April 17 last. Blanchardstown District Court heard the DPP had directed trial on indictment. Judge David McHugh gave the defendants the formal warning that they must provide within 14 days to the prosecution details of any alibis they intend to rely on.
He also ordered disclosure of copies of the accused's garda interviews.
The judge then returned the accused for trial to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. They were both remanded on bail.
