Two men arrested after 9mm handgun found in footwell of car
Gardai have arrested two men and seized a gun in Ballymun.
The incident happened at 5pm on Monday afternoon on Carton Way, Ballymun, Dublin 1.
The two men (aged 22 and 25) were arrested after a search of the car they were travelling in revealed a 9mm handgun in the footwell of the front passenger seat. Gardai also found three rounds of 9mm ammunition and a silver silencer.
Both men were arrested and taken to Coolock Garda Station where they are being held.
