TWO men are in garda custody and another is on the run after an armed robbery in Dublin last night.
Officers are investigating the robbery at Lidl in Rathfarnham at around 8.50pm, during which a baseball bat and handgun were produced.
Gardai say three men entered the store on the Grange Road and threatened staff before escaping with a sum of money.
A spokesperson said: "A car and suspects were located at Whitehall Road in Churchtown a short time later and following a foot pursuit two males, one in his early 30s and the other in his 20s, were arrested and a handgun recovered."
There were no injuries during the robbery and a quantity of money was recovered during the follow-up operation.
The men were today being quizzed at Tallaght garda station under Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act.
They can be held for up to 24 hours.
