TV3 star tells of hope over partner's cancer

THE partner of TV3 star Aisling O'Loughlin is recovering at home as he prepares to undergo his third round of chemotherapy.

Photographer Nick MacInnes, the father of Aisling's two children, was admitted to St Vincent's Hospital after undergoing an intense second round of chemotherapy for leukaemia.

STRUGGLING

The Xpose host said she is struggling without her partner and is glad to have him home. "His stay is only for a few days as he is due to commence his third round of chemotherapy next week," Aisling said.

"I miss him. I miss his help, I miss his input, I miss the double-parenting. The doctors are hopeful, but they also have to temper expectation. Hopefully he'll just need another round of chemotherapy, maybe two."

The 35-year-old is on maternity leave and gave birth to three-month-old Louis just weeks before Nick was diagnosed when he brought his baby for a check up.
