Trial foralleged cannabis grower

A MAN accused of growing cannabis at his home in Dublin has been sent forward for trial.

Istvan Hatos (31), of Skellig's Court, Waterville in Blanchardstown appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with possession of cannabis and cultivating cannabis without a licence.

The alleged incident took place at his home at Waterville on February 17 last.

A State solicitor said the book of evidence was ready and had been served on the accused, who goes forward to the next sittings of Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Judge David McHugh gave Mr Hatos the formal alibi caution.

Defence solicitor Simon Fleming and one junior counsel were assigned on free legal aid.

Mr Hatos has not yet entered a plea to the charges.
