Trial for man (36) on handling charge

A MAN has appeared in court accused of handling a stolen sat nav as well as a baby bag and a jacket.

Noel Winterlich (36) is facing trial by judge and jury in the Circuit Court where the penalties are potentially more severe after the DPP ruled that the matter was too serious for the District Court.

Judge David McHugh adjourned the matter to a date next month for the service of the book of evidence.

The accused, with an address at The Close, Hazelhatch, Celbridge, Co Kildare, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with handling stolen property.

It is alleged that Mr Winterlich handled a stolen Garmin sat nav, a woman's jacket and a baby bag at his home last March 16.
