A MAN accused of plotting to derail a train in Canada with support from al-Qa'ida elements in Iran made a brief court appearance and was told to appear in court again next month.
Raed Jaser (35) sported a long beard, wore a black shirt with no tie yesterday.
He was given a new court date for May 23 and did not enter a plea.
Jaser's suspected accomplice, Chiheb Esseghaier (30), was scheduled to appear in court in Montreal later yesterday.
Charges against the two men include conspiring to carry out an attack and murder people in association with a terrorist group.
