THE mother of two teenage girls who took their own lives within six weeks of each other last year has spoken of her joy after giving birth to a boy.
Erin Gallagher (13) and her sister Shannon (15) died by suicide in Co Donegal last year.
There were claims Erin was being bullied and that her older sister couldn't cope with the grief.
Their mother Lorraine, who has a five-year-old son, Sean James, gave birth to her second son at Letterkenny General Hospital on Saturday.
She and her fiance Phelim Quinn have named their new son Lennon.
The couple say they are over the moon with their new arrival.
"We are just relieved that we are home and that little Lennon arrived okay," said Lorraine.
"He is a very happy little boy."
Lorraine (37) said she is trying her best to get on with her life following the devastation of losing her two daughters.
She said she is planning to tell little Lennon all about her older sisters in time.
"Nothing will ever ease the pain fully and there's not an hour that goes by that I don't think about Erin and Shannon.
"They were my life and now they are gone forever. I have tried my best to lead as normal a life as possible for Sean James but it's difficult. Now, I have two lovely little boys to look after, I can try and rebuild my life.
"When the time is right, I will tell Lennon what beautiful sisters he had and how much joy they brought to everyone they knew," she said.
Erin was found dead at her home on October 27 last year. Shannon took her own life on December 14.
