Traffic up at Ryanair

RYANAIR carried more than 7.5 million passengers in October according to monthly traffic figures published by the airline.

The figure was an increase of 4pc on October 2011. Ryanair said in a statement that October was the seventh month in a row in which it carried more than seven million passengers.

The airline filled 82pc of its seats last month, a drop of 2pc on the same period last year.

Over the past 12 months, Ryanair has flown 79.3 million passengers, a record for the company.
