Top publishers merge

PUBLISHING giants Penguin and Random House are to merge.

The move will bring Fifty Shades Of Grey author EL James, fantasy novelist Terry Pratchett and 2012 Nobel prize winner Mo Yan under one roof. It is expected that the new entity will be named Penguin Random House and has been established in a bid to gain the upper hand in their relationship with Amazon and Apple, the leaders in the ebook revolution.
